Looking for a music documentary released on streaming in 2026? These four official listings offer different starting points: Take That for a three-part band history, Man on the Run for McCartney after the Beatles, EPiC for Elvis performance footage, and Fito Páez: The World Within a Song for an artist portrait.
Choose a format, then check the platform

| Man on the Run | Prime Video: February 27 | McCartney’s post-Beatles career and Wings | Film |
| EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert | Paramount+: June 3 (US), July 24 (Canada) | Archive performance footage, including Las Vegas | Concert film |
| Fito Páez: The World Within a Song | Netflix: 2026 (catalogue year) | The musician’s work and personal life | Documentary film |
Dates refer to streaming releases, not cinema premieres; Fito’s listing supplies a year only. Availability and subscription terms vary by country, so confirm local access before paying. For a selection across different release years, use our jazz documentary guide.
Take That: a band story in three parts
Netflix’s January release listing places Take That on January 27, 2026. The series uses archive material to follow the group’s early success, breakup and reunion. That makes it a band-history option rather than a single recorded concert.

The UK Netflix title page shows three episodes of 51, 50 and 52 minutes: 153 minutes in total, excluding any time between episodes. You can plan three roughly hour-long slots without having to finish the series in one night.
Choose it for: the history of the group across different periods. Choose a different format if: you want an uninterrupted concert.
Man on the Run: start after the Beatles
Paul McCartney: Man on the Run, directed by Morgan Neville, arrived on Prime Video on February 27, 2026, according to Amazon’s viewing guide. Amazon describes a documentary about McCartney’s life and music after the Beatles’ breakup, including the formation of Wings with Linda McCartney.

Choose this for Wings and McCartney’s solo career rather than the Beatles’ years together. Amazon reports a streaming release in more than 240 countries and territories.
EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert: the performance-led choice
Paramount’s June 1 announcement gives two streaming dates for Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC: June 3, 2026 in the United States and July 24 in Canada. The footage includes Presley’s Las Vegas performances in the 1970s, material from Elvis on Tour and the Graceland archive.
The announcement identifies 16mm footage from Elvis on Tour and 8mm material from the Graceland archive. That performance-and-archive focus distinguishes this concert film from the career portraits elsewhere in the table.
Fito Páez: The World Within a Song: life around the music
Netflix’s title page labels this documentary film as 2026. Its Media Center synopsis describes following the Argentine musician for more than a year, including studio work and touring, alongside his relationships and personal history.

Choose this for a portrait that connects studio work and touring with life away from the stage. Unlike the group history in Take That, its subject is one musician.
Two practical viewing decisions
You have three evenings with about an hour free. Take That fits that schedule: the longest of its three episodes is 52 minutes. One episode per night leaves at least eight minutes inside each hour, and the full series totals two hours and 33 minutes.
You want one film rather than a series. Narrow the choice by subject: Man on the Run covers the post-Beatles period, EPiC centers on Elvis performance footage, and Fito Páez follows an artist through work and personal life. The useful split is career history, concert material or an individual portrait, rather than which service has the longest catalogue.
How we checked this
We checked the six official sources below on September 9, 2026 for release dates, format and subject, plus Take That’s episode lengths. Three dated captures show the Netflix listings and Amazon’s description; the Elvis entry relies on Paramount’s linked announcement. We have not watched these titles for this guide: the choices are based on documented subject and format, not reviews. This is a selection of four releases, not a complete 2026 catalogue.
