This policy explains personal information handled through Heresthebest at heresthebest.com. For privacy questions or requests concerning your information, contact support@heresthebest.com.
Information you provide
If you create an account, sign in, comment, subscribe to the newsletter, or contact us, the site receives the information needed for that action. This can include your email address, account name, comment text, and message. Comments may be public; do not include information you do not want other readers to see.
Sign-in and password-reset functions use account information to authenticate you and send requested messages. If you choose a third-party sign-in option, that provider also handles the sign-in under its own privacy terms.
Site operation and security
Requests include technical information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and time. Hosting and delivery services, including Oracle Cloud and Cloudflare, process technical information to deliver pages and protect the service. WordPress and installed services support accounts, comments, and site operation.
Essential cookies can keep you signed in and preserve security or consent choices. They are different from optional analytics and advertising technologies.
Analytics, cookies, and advertising
The site uses Google Analytics to understand visits and page use. Analytics can receive device and browser information, page addresses, interactions, and identifiers according to the consent and configuration in effect. Google Search Console supplies search-performance reports; it does not give us the identity of individual searchers.
Iubenda provides the site’s consent controls. Use the consent-preferences button on the page to review or change optional tracking choices. The Cookie Policy provides further information. Browser settings can also restrict cookies, though this may affect sign-in and other functions.
If Google AdSense advertising is enabled, Google and participating advertising providers may process identifiers and interactions to deliver and measure ads in accordance with applicable consent choices. An advertising integration does not mean ads are currently served on every page. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Email and newsletters
The newsletter form connects to Mailchimp through MC4WP. Subscription details are processed to manage and deliver the newsletter. You can unsubscribe using the link in newsletter emails. Site and account messages are sent through Brevo. An account or support message is not a marketing subscription.
Contact messages are used to address the enquiry. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Tools and external links
The on-page planning calculators perform their calculations in your browser. Their outputs are estimates rather than bookings or transactions. If you follow a provider link, use an embedded third-party service, or purchase elsewhere, that provider’s privacy terms apply to the information it receives.
Retention and your choices
Account records, published comments, correspondence, subscription records, and technical logs serve different purposes and are not all kept for the same period. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you. Some records may need to be retained for security, legal, or transaction-related obligations. Deleting browser cookies does not delete an account or unsubscribe an email address.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or obtain a copy of your information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. We may need to verify a request before disclosing or changing account information.
Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy information describes arrangements applicable to their services: Cloudflare, Oracle, Google, Mailchimp / Intuit, and Brevo.
